Analysis of Correlation among Upper Extremity Function and Activities of Daily Living With Stroke Patients: Focused on FMA, MFT, K-MBI

Abstract
Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate Correlation of upper extremity function and activities of daily living.

Methods : From 1 July 2013 to 30 August 2013, activities of daily living and upper extremity function tests were performed to 49 patients a stroke. FMA and MFT was used for examination of the upper extremity function. MBI has been used for checking the activities of daily living. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0.

Results : Upper extremity function and activities of daily living due to the general characteristics were not significantly different between the groups. MFT and K-MBI had a significant correlation. Correlation between the FMA and the K-MBI were not significant.

Conclusion : In this study, correlations between upper extremity function and activities of daily living were. In occupational therapy, the improvement of upper extremity function will improve activities of daily living. In addition, participation in activities of daily living will improve upper extremity function.
